Should I have another child?
My husband and I are very happy, we have a 10 year old now who is the center of our World. Got a decent home, both of us make pretty good money. I have nothing to complain about in my life. I am an RN now, going to be a Nurse Practitioner in 2 years will be finished. My son says he doesn’t want a brother or sister he likes being only child. Close with my family and my sister has 2 kids so my son is not alone by any means.I am 32 and hubby is 34. Raising kids is very hard work and our lives are great right now, don’t want to rock the boat but I’m getting older and if going to have another child need to do it kinda soon. Just cant commit to it for some reason. What do you think?
you are still young, wait and see how you feel as time goes along, you may want a child at 36,38, 42, who knows, relax, enjoy, and see what the future brings.

I have three teenage girls and would not be with out them, but it has not been easy sometimes when it comes down to the money raising an expanding family and paying for my wife`s course fees. So if you can afford it..go for it.

I think if you and your husband are ready then go for it. Your 10 year old will understand and will grow to love their little brother or sister. But if you decide to wait dont worry you have plenty of time

well for one, if you cant commit to it yet (if you have to come on here and even ask) then no you should not. There are alot of things you can do in your life to increase fulfillment, other than having more kids. You could volunteer or take up new hobbies… and before you say that you dont have any time for those things, realize that having another kid is an even bigger time commitment.
Now practical stuff: The world is already overpopulated, resources are becoming more scarce, social security is completely out of the question… you arnt doing your would-be child any favors by bringing them into this world. Why contribute to the problem? If you must have another kid, you should adopt which is actually doing a favor for another being. It is an act of altruism.
Conceiving another child is selfish if you think about it; it focuses entirely on serving your needs. Its ok to fill your needs if you were to just buy a new piece of furniture, but we are talking about another life here.
Sorry for my cynical outlook but I know far too many people who are not satisfied with their lives and struggle everyday. Its unpleasant knowing that their misery is a result of their parents needing more meaning in their lives when they simply didnt have to exist in the first place.

I say that if you think you ever might want more children, you should go ahead and do so now. Some women can have childeren at older ages, but for the sake of the child it would be better to have it now. As women get older, the chances of a complication increase. Add to that an aging man, and those chances are even higher. That’s not to say something WILL happen, but it’s clinically proven that the best time to conceive is before 35. 40 is chancing it, and enything over that is downright dangerous. With proper care, it can be done. But I would definitely make up your mind before then. And figure out too whether it is an actual urge to WANT another child, or if it is just an inner craving to fell maternally needed.
As far as your son, he’s ten. He doesn’t get to make the choices. When he has a wife, he can decide how many children she can have.

If you’re happy the way it is and not sure you want another, then don’t rock the boat lol. You still have a few years until you really HAVE to decide anyway. I had my first at 33, my second at 35, and my last at 37 (of course, I didn’t get married until I was 32, but until then I hadn’t had the desire to have any). You may find next year or the year after that you have a strong desire to have one or not. There’s nothing wrong with having only one, but don’t let that one decide for you either

here’s the thing, im 21, never had a bf, never had any guys asking me out, im wondering if something is wrong with me. I used to get bullied at school, in my country they think being white is beautiful and im the total opposite, im mixed indian so i got medium dark skin. I was ugly when i was small and my friends made fun of my looks but now suddenly everything changed, they said im pretty and so on but i’m not sure if they were telling the truth or just want to make fun of me. sometimes i feel like i want to have a bf, but then im scared he’ll leave me or just pity me. im confused.
It’s natural for you to feel confused…but trust your instincts. I think that now since you are older, people will be more respectful, so no more truth or dare games to ask the ugly girl out. I’m sure that the people complimenting you are being sincere.

If that is you in the picture then you are pretty. You need to work on getting your self confidence up. Start with some small goals and achieve them. This will make you feel better about yourself. That self confidence will shine in your face. Guys are attracted to self confident girls who smile and are friendly.
Believe it or not, your feeling that you are not good enough also shows on your face and guys smell it and don’t want to be with you. It is not your looks it is your attitude. Being fun to be around is attractive to boys. Ask a guy to teach you how to play pool and practice. Ask a guy to teach you how to bowl and practice. Get better and this will give you self confidence and make you more fun to be with. Go to the beach or a pool learn to swim, ask a boy to teach you how to swim. When you ask a boy, ask him with a big smile on your face and say pretty please. If he won’t don’t get discouraged ask another boy. Boys like to be asked to teach you things. It makes them feel important. A girl who makes a guy feel important will develop affectionate feelings for you. Make admiring comments and compiments about him. Would you offer critique on my paper on design?
This is the beginning of a paper for school, I am to describe what influenced me to pursue the career I am pursuing and since starting school if I am still confident that I chose the right career. This is a rough rough draft, just looking for some opinions so far (I feel like it has no rhythm as of now…)
The beats of hammers on a piece of wood and the crack of a bat to a ball are two sounds that will always take me back to my childhood. My father was a sales representative for a lumber company by day, and the founder of a baseball organization by night. It was almost inevitable that I grow up with a passion for one of the two. The baseball fields never did much for me. Unless there was a wooded area nearby, there was not much to explore and no place to wander. Empty half built houses, on the other hand, were full of imaginary wonders. When I was very young, I would create worlds inside these houses and with each new house that my father was overseeing, there was a new adventure as well. As I got older, I became more curious about the structure itself. I wanted to know everything. I wanted to know how it was being built, what was holding the roof up, how the staircase was installed. Fortunately, I had formed a relationship with some of the workers over the years, and a lot of them took the time to answer my questions and explain things to me. My inquisitiveness about the structure itself soon turned into wanting to know more about the interior. How would the family use this space? Why the architect designed specific rooms to be adjacent to certain other rooms and why some rooms were spaced further apart. When not at the construction sites, studying the blueprints my father would bring home with him became another favorite thing to do. I started becoming familiar with floor plans and eventually began trying to draw my own (though, with only graph paper and little knowledge of drafting, they were never to scale and only understood by me.)
Now that I am school and learning the ins and outs of the design field, I am even more confident that I have chosen the right path. I struggled for a long time to choose one of my many passions to pursue as a career. I went back and forth for a very long time between Creative Writing, Photography, and Interior Design. I was very confused and put off returning to school for a long time because of my indecision. One day I realized, my poetry is always inspired by one of three things: architecture, humanity, and nature. My photography is also the same way, I do not find joy in posing people for portraits but leave me alone in a city for a day and I will return with a camera full of photos of people on the streets surrounded by beautiful architecture and natural wonders. Architecture, Humanity, and Nature. How could I possibly combine the three things that inspire me the most into one daily profession? Design is important to every aspect of our lives. A home

Saints — they are playing for a whole city that was destroyed by a hurricane and it is their first ever superbowl — plus its like their first playoff appearance in a couple of years.
Colts — have gone to a superbowl 3 yrs ago…. they’ve made the playoffs 11 straight times, so they always have a chance.
I HATE THE COLTS EVEN THOUGH THEY PROBABLY HAVE A HIGHER CHANCE OF WINNING.
