If your dog is/was aggressive….?
If your dog ISN’T aggressive, pretend it was. Would you try everything you could to fix it? Or would you just leave your dog the way it is? We are discussing this on another site and a few people say that their dog is human aggressive but they wouldn’t change it if they could. What would you do?
My opinion-
I have a 2 year old Chihuahua named Lizzie, ever since I got her I have been socializing her with people and dogs. She LOVES other dogs and once she gets used to a stranger, she loves them. Lizzie has never bitten anyone, and if she did I would not tolerate it. I think that if someone has an aggressive dog and isn’t trying to do anything about it, that is very irresponsible on the owners part.
So if your dog was aggressive towards people or dogs, would you want to fix it? Or leave him/her as they are?
i would be everything in my power to fix it.

I would try to fix it with all my heart. Anyone who doesn’t want to must want an aggressive dog for the wrong reasons. My dogs are not aggressive, but without training, they would both die for their pack. I love my dogs as family, and all dogs are great creatures- aggressive or not. I can’t help if someone wants an aggressive dog, but to take the dog into my arms and raise it properly. I hope that you continue on the right path with your dogs, as so many people now don’t care at all what happens to their dogs.

Advocate for Spanish Speaking Student in CT?
I am from Connecticut. Recently, a new 2nd grader who only spoke english came to a local elementary school. The principle had known about it for months. However, it seems as if the principle forgot about the student or did not care.
The principle did not set up a bilingual aide to help, or a bilingual teacher. The child came into school so frightened and crying (he is from another country). How in the hell is this child suppose to learn? His father and mother are fluent in English and explained that he is very smart. I feel as this will stunt his developmental process of learning because the Principle did not do anything.
I feel like this situation is so wrong. Should the principle had set up anything?
There was even a volunteer working that spoke english and offered to help the student. When the principle found out, the volunteer was taken out of the classroom because "volunteers are not paid to do that" and a 5th grader who speaks Spanish was brought into the classroom for the day and pretty much stayed with the kid through lunch,recces, ect. That seems wrong too! Dragging a child out of their classroom to become an aide for the day? Why does a th grader have this responisiblity?!
I feel like something is wrong here! I want to do something. Is it possible to advocate for this child? I do not work at the school, but I know many people who do.

Anyway, the reason I brought this up was because of a talk I had with my All-State Chamber Choir director, Mark Simmons, who is the Director of Choral Activites at the University of Tennessee at Martin. During one of our rehearsals we were given the opportunity to have a Q/A session with him and ask him about college. One of the topics he brought up was the medical program at UT. He told us that besides Biology and Chemistry, those with degrees in Music are most accepted at their Medical School, apparently because music shows humanity and compassion. Now, I’ve already been accepted at the university I wanted to get into and I’m majoring in Pre-Med Biology. Should I switch my major to music or keep Biology and just stay in music independently? You bet. In fact, believe it or not, they have the highest admission rate of any major. The power of your lenses..( -1.75 ) really has nothing to do with determining the curvature needed. If you go about this the right way , you would have to be fitted with trial lenses of the Oasys at an optician or optometrist to be sure which curvature will be best for you. If it helps though, I have tried all sorts of contacts and never had a problem with the size.
