IMDB rating: 5.70 Plot: Glen Canyon, Arizona, the present day. Wayne, practising at night in the desert for his upcoming fireman’s exam, witnesses the impact of a meteorite. The next day, biology teacher Dr. Ira Kane and geology teacher Harry Block from Glen Canyon Community College manage to get to the meteorite, which is stuck in the ground at the bottom of a cave. By taking a sample, they discover a slimy blue fluid coming out of the meteorite. A little later, Ira Kane finds out that myriads of single-celled life-forms dwell in the fluid, evolve at an incredible rate, even while he’s watching. What first seems like a sure ticket to Sweden for the Nobel Prize soon develops into a nightmare: By evolving and adapting at that unbelievably fast rate, the Aliens start spreading out, and the Military comes in. Now it all comes down to what Darwin so rightfully stated: Survival of the fittest. And no good idea in sight… |

religiously why can't we agree to disagree?
whether your christian, Buddhist, Muslim, or any other type of religion or maybe you not religious or spiritual at all maybe you atheist or non believer or Scientology, or believe in evolution . i Just cant stand to see the disrespect that we give to each other to prove that they are wrong and we are right attitude me personally i’m a christian but i have friends with different backgrounds and beliefs. Respecting others people views is not going to hurt you or make me change my mind of what i believe or what you believe to be the truth.

why is it okay to respect others religions, but not okay to respect those who chose not to practice?

If this is in reference to the Religion & Spirituality section, many atheists there do it for the sake of arguing. We don’t actually "hate" religious people.
If you’re talking about the real world, it’s called politics. It’s all a numbers game in trying to convince as many people to see things our way to push our agendas. Ideally yes we would all respect eachother’s beliefs, but the same way there are many atheists and agnostics who want to see religion gone altogether, there are many religious people who want to push their religion forward.
There’s always going to be one group trying to get the upper hand so the other group obviously isn’t going to let it slide. If you see someone cheating, you’re not gonna let them win are you? No you’re going to cheat also or do something about it.

First, a lot of people agree to disagree and respect each other’s religions. the thing is the only being broad casted, or the only thing you hear about are people disrespecting each other’s religion. Conflict is so much more amusing and overlooked than peace.
Second, many religions contradict the beliefs of another and since many people live their lives based off of religion, its very hard to accept different religions as a lifestyle for somebody.
Example: im an agnostic atheist and sometimes i don’t see how christians even think their religion is logical. but i accept them no matter what, and don’t discriminate on them because of what they believe.
